Our Director

Kyle Austin has been faithfully preaching and teaching the younger generation of America since 2005. In 2012, God lead Kyle and Amanda to began serving with Collegians for Christ. They worked with a group of students to establish a ministry on the campus of Appalachian State University. Kyle served as the campus minister of the CFC ministry at App State for six years during which Kyle also served as the chaplain of the App State wrestling team for 3 years. During this time, they established Campus Connect Ministires to fulfill the great need to assist students and a sponsoring local church to establish Collegians for Christ ministries on their college campuses.

Amanda has served alongside Kyle in ministry since 2005. She has been effectively teaching and discipling young ladies throughout these years. They serve in this ministry together along with their sons and would not have it any other way. Each one serves an important role and together it all gets accomplished.

Currently they travel the country training and assisting students and local churches how to reach their campus with the Gospel and assist with the CFC ministry at East Carolina University. Reaching, teaching, and discipling college students is what their lives are all about.

Kyle's Testimony & Service

I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ in 2001 at the age of 21 after a couple from a local Baptist church stopped by my apartment. In my living room that evening they shared with me who Jesus is. I made the decision to become a follower of Jesus. Amanda believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as a 5 year old girl and grew up in a Baptist church. She received assurance of her salvation from God in 2006. We were married in 2003 and began attending Fellowship Baptist Church in Clayton, N.C. under the leadership of Pastor Charles Ennis. Here we grew spiritually and became active members. We became youth leaders from 2005-2008 which God used to cultivate our hearts for the younger generation. We were blessed to be able to serve the Lord also in the bus ministry and weekly visitation. I enrolled in Clarksville Theological Seminary in 2006.

God called me to preach His Gospel in 2008 and we soon made plans to attend The Crown College of the Bible in Powell T.N. We were involved in the weekly visitation, youth, bus, nursing home, international, and nursery ministries. Here we were exposed to the leadership under Pastor Clarence Sexton. I was on staff at Eastside Baptist church serving as Youth Pastor during my senior year under the leadership of Pastor David Fox. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. God used each of these special stages in our lives to cultivate and prepare in us a heart for the work He called us to.
We were exposed to the Collegians for Christ ministry at the University of Tennessee. God used this combined with our burden for the younger generation to call us to Appalachian State to establish a CFC ministry there. For six years, we served the ministry at Appalachian State and have since trained and placed a new campus minister over this ministry. Kyle also had the privilege to work closely with the Appalachian State wrestling team serving as the team chaplain. Kyle currently serves as the national director of Campus Connect Ministries and Collegians for Christ.

Through researching the campuses of America, God revealed to us the great need to reach and disciple college students. We are currently traveling the country assisting students and a sponsoring local church that have a desire to reach their campus by establishing a Collegians for Christ ministry on their college campus.
